Peppermill with a Twist Class Oct 10th

$75.00

What: AWA Class involving Turning a Peppermill with a Twist

When: Saturday, Oct 10th from 9 am – 1pm

Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Cost: $75.00 (includes wood and peppermill mechanism)

Instructor: John Lane

This class is not about turning a classically shaped peppermill. In this class you will turn and drill a 10-inch peppermill, but we will shape it to resemble an owl. It will involve turning a sphere by using a jig and/or ways of turning it freehand. You will also learn different ways to either turn or drill the eye sockets that gives it that classic owl appearance. This class is designed to test your spindle turning skills. And who knows, this project could make a nice Christmas Gift.

You must be a club member to be able to participate in these sessions.

To sign up for the class and become a member go to the AWA website akwoodturners.org.  If you are not a member, first join AWA.
