Description
Bob Congdon will be teaching an off centered tool handle class from 9am-12pm on Saturday, January 24th. You’ll leave the class with a 3/8″ bedan or other tool shape of your choice that easily exceeds the $50 cost of the class. Bring your own tools (spindle roughing gouge, spindle gouges, parting tool, skew) if you have them, but the club’s will be available as well. All other materials are provided.
In addition to having a nice tool to take home, students will learn a variety of skills that are useful for other projects. These include off centered mounting, spindle turning skills, “turning air”, installing a steel tool into a handle, and shaping & sharpening the tool. You must be a current member of AWA and have completed the club’s beginning woodturning class.
