AWA Meeting Schedule for 2026

• Jan. 10: Our first meeting of the year will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 10th at Glass Sash & Door Supply.  Following a brief business meeting, John Magee will demonstrate end grain turning a 5-inch diameter by 4-inch deep yarn bowl from old, very dry yellow cedar.  If time permits, he will also turn a lidded box from branch wood with the bark on and use coloring agents to enhance the texture of the bark.
  
  As announced at our last meeting, you are encouraged to bring in items from your shop to share with other members.  These can include finished pieces or projects that are works in progress or “problem pieces” that perhaps you need a little advice on.  We all love to see what others are creating, so please join us on Saturday a little earlier than 10:00am to share your work, socialize with your fellow turners, and enjoy a cup of coffee and a donut.
