Andy Cole’s 2 Day Class – April 28th & 29th, 2025

Two-day class (a good beginner level class), Held April 28th & 29th, 2025

Day 1:  Traditional Hawaiian style calabash bowl:  This class will focus on pleasing shapes that are simple to make.  We will cover many basics including the various cuts and turning tools available. Andy will also show various chucking methods that can be used.

Day 2:  Natural edge bowl:  Shapes and form for natural edge bowls will be the focus of this class. Preservation of bark and alternatives when there is no bark will be discussed. Blank selection and various chucking methods will be covered as we create an attractive looking natural edge bowl with an ogee curve.
